Ice Dancing Medal

It was another history making day yesterday at the Winter Olympics for the United States. The U.S. had not won a medal in ice dancing in thirty years. The last time the U.S. won a medal in this event was at the 1976 Innsbruck Winter Olympics.

Yesterday saw Tanith Belbin, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Canada, and her partner Ben Agosto come away from their competition with the silver medal.

While many critics are saying that the American’s are living up to expectations when it comes to medal numbers during these Games, it is hard to argue with the successes that athletes such as Belbin and Agosto are having.
